The bore kit thats new on Ebay: HONDA CBR1000F WISECO PISTON KIT 2MM OVER CBR 1000F
Item number: 4601381104, it takes you to 1049cc, good power increase thru the range, I have it on my bike.

I saw that as well. I am spewing as its such a good saving compared to new, but I still can't afford it.

ld1000: other than that there is not much more you can do. There isn't much room for a Turbo and even if you did it would only give you the same amount of power as a ZX-12 etc. If you want more power you are better of just buying one of the latest & greatest.

try also with sharp cam shafts and harder valve springs - I got it plus this whachya mentioned -> strong enough I guess (153hp)
one more advantage of the sharp cam shafts is that the lobes are case-hardened, so valve clearance adjustment periods may be prolonged even twice.

Have you got a link to the cam shaft dudes? I have never seem any aftermarket performance parts other then a big bore kit for this bike.

Hey What is going on Old1000....

You have resolved one side of the spectrum, but its time to investigate the other. What I'm referring to is, you have updated the engine power, but you have failed to address the weight of the CBR. For instance, the rims are HEAVY!! Replace them with newer lighter rims and you could lose as much as 50 pounds. (If ya can afford the good light rims!!) This would also help in the search for more peformace, if the engine has to move less mass, then you will definately get more peformance. They even have lighter forks and rear shocks, but I don't EVEN know how much those are.

I think the same way sometimes, "More power more power" But all I find is that the power I currently have is sufficient and I'm going entirely too fast already! Hehehe.. Darn speedlimits!! I was thinking yesterday that if I keep going down the roads at the pace I was running that I was begging for a ticket. It seems I need more power, but everytime I look down when I think I'm cruising I'm floating above the ground haulin azz. But thats just me!

I have heard people put the big bore kit on the CBR, and they stated they run a little hot after that mod. But that shouldn't be a big deal, I guess that means keep it moving!! Heheheh.. BBK is suppose to make a big difference though.

If you want to accelerate harder change the front sprocket. If you live somewhere where you can actually go over 150 mph, and that ain't enough, change the rear sprocket.

i think your both right. i'm gonna get a big bore kit, and i'm also looking at rims anyways so mine as wel go magnesium.(ooo thats alot of money) but i did lose some weight, lighter exhaust, no center stand, and some usless mounts here and there. and i'm thinking about a kit from jenny craig next, lol, i'm about 205 and 5,11"

Hey:

The bigger sprocket in the rear really helps I'M @ 18/46 on my daily driver and 15/46 on my drag bike.
Also rc 51 wheels can be made to work with some bearing changes and a cbr1100xx swingarm bored to fit the
bigger bearings as I'M about to do this to my drag bike as soon as the wheels get here. I'll post pics when done.

Newer Rc 51 wheels are light and only the front wheel has 1 side disk so my mod wasn't so bad
