Like your tool Paul

I just use a small 'G' clamp to push 'em back in, good to be able to do both at the same time though.

its been a while since thats been said
i made it up a while back with a few bits i found at work and used the works welder, it does make it a bit easier, been back out to the hurricane and have rebuilt the swinging arm( if anyone hasnt done this before i have gone in to detail in how to section) all i have to do is paint it, cleaned the rear wheel and will put the bearings in tomorrow after i have rubbed it down for painting, i have made the mistake before of painting and then putting bearings in and chipping the paint, week off work now so im hoping to get a bit done

glad it helped you out nutter

had a good week off work and have managed to get out to the hurricane for a hour or two everyday.
I have painted the swinger and the rear wheel, put a new front and rear sprocket on (easy to get the front sprocket off as you can lock it with the chain but doing it back up was not so easy as once the sprockets on i found i couldnt get the chain over the sprocket, i have a new chain to put on later so i cut the old chain down and wound it round the sprocket (see pic).
Put the new rear disc on and cleaned up all the old chainlube ready to start putting the back end back in. The new secondhand relay arm has turned up and is in good nick so i will use this and re-build the other one.
My rebuilt shock should be back next week so im hoping to get the rear end back together and her new pipes on next weekend

I'm with SB on this one, that's a really nice shade of gold. Your Mrs has good taste Wheelnut.

I like the idea of matt black with maybe a gold tank to match the wheels.

The black and gold look is best demonstrated in the old JPS type 72 Lotus. But that is very much a job for a pro to get the base black coat looking right.
