RE: How much was your CBR?
Bought my CBR 1000F 1987 (in good condition) with 100 000 km (~62 000 miles) on the clock one month ago for 18000 SEK (Swedish Kronor) which is USD $2550 (or Euro €2000).
Since I live in Sweden this is not very expensive. (Those of you wondering about this should read what Noe and R1000, amongst others, have said about taxes and so forth earlier in this thread)

RE: How much was your CBR?
was "given" an '89 1000 f as payment for doing a head gasket on a 4cyl toyota!. parts cost me $134 AUS for head gasket and 4 hrs labour plus drinking his beer.
bike needs timing chain, tensioner? (havent pulled it apart yet to find out about tensioner ), and auxilliary drive chain. body work is fairly knocked about but still is all together. needs a new or s/hand speedo clear cover and surround and windscreen from where my kids closed the garage door on it but all in all its a good bike
Cheers

RE: How much was your CBR?
I paid $1700 for my 91 with almost 39,000 miles on it. The guy that I bought it from bought it when it only had 2,000 miles on it. He also always kept it covered, either in the garage or under a bike cover while at work. The paint is amazing and only slightly damaged from when he let someone else sit on it and they dropped it.

Hey Joel, where you from? im on the central coast nsw.
About 1/2 way through cut and shut on the original set up exhaust. shortened can, about to mod the collector then rejet to suit.
not pro job but after market in Aus is a killer price wise!!!
Still plenty of power, little better (read louder) note but not annoying for sure.

Hi
I have a 95 1000F
I purchased it for £2000GBP with 12 months MOT and Tax with 32,000 on the clock.
I use it every day to get back and forwards to work and it has never missed a beat.
