100 000 km
Chain, sprockets, brake pads and fork seals where new.
Broken top fairing
Some scratches but nothing broken or cracked.
Runned real bad when bought, but just needed carb maintenance to run like hell (255 km/h GPS).
$ 3000 plus a $ 200 for used top fairing in mint condition and another $ 100 for a top notch paint of the top fairing. About $ 100 was also spent on the clutch which slipped at max torque when the engine was not fully warm.

Just to understand this - you paid $16,000 US for a ten year old CBR1000F?

$16000 for a ten year old CBR1000F is normal.
The tax is 180%, so a vehicle that normally costs $5000 will cost you $14000 here.
Lovely isĀ“nt it :-D
And our gasprices are wonderfull to, $1.63 pr liter...
But thats the price for having fun here.

That's correct. In Denmark the taxes on bikes are absolutely insane ! The state puts VAT on the bikes, thats 25% and another tax, thats 180%, all that of the original price. Denmark has the highest taxes in the world, income tax is approximatly 45%.
So when you think that you pay way to much in taxes, then think of little Denmark where a 10 year old CBR1000F costs 16000 USD...[:@][&:][:'(][]
Just some price examples:
New 2006 models
CBR1000RR: 38000 USD
Ducati 999: 53000 USD
GSXR 1000: 40000 USD
CB500: 11000 USD
Then you can understand how I feel when you guy's are paying 2000 USD for your Hurricanes

Hey Noe and the rest of you Danish guys! I feel for you! But you know, you could always move to Sweden... I payed around 4800$ (35000 SEK) for my -97 with teller currently on 22369 miles (36000 km). 2 luggage boxes (Krauser), higher windshield and new chain and sprockets (uninstalled) was included in the deal. Condition, I would give it at least a 7 or 8 in a scale 1-10.
Just a little question: why are some guys telling us what they payed for their Fireblades? I thought this was a forum for the Hurricanes...

And the beer is cheaper in Germany to compared to Denmark I often go thrue Denmark on trips abroad, after your information about prices for vehicles, its more understanable why there are so many old, small and ugly cars on the roads. If one sees something that looks a little bit more luxury, it's always a newer Skoda originating from former Tjeckoslovakia. Denmark is a small country with quite a lot of people, may be, and I'm serious, the government has to put high vehicle taxes to avoid a road situation like in New Dehli.
