Sorry for the misunderstanding. When you put the metal band into position as indicated by the yellow arrows, the metal tab on the band can go into 1 of 2 slots. Which one is correct?

Hello again
I need your expertice!
What is the right Float Height lvl on my CBR 1000F / 87 my modell is from Sweden/ if this make a diffrent in CBR models?
I have som many diffrents numbers 9,4 mm 13,7 mm and my old carburators i open them and the are close to 9,4mm
my new carburators is around 6,8 mm it is clearley this is not the right mm.
My haynes says 600 cc 9,3mm and 1000P says 13,7mm
and on youtube there is so many difrfent numbers my brain is spinning!
when I measure the float should I keep the carburetor in the side position?
because if I hold it upside down it will be a completely different measure and a really crazy measure
sorry for all questions I just want to make sure I get it right!
I use digital sliding dimensions not sure if this is the right word in english?
This is from the 1987 CBR1000F Hurricane manual for the US market. I can't say what it might be in the EU, but it must be close. There are different specifications for a variety of things between the 49 state model and the California model, But the float level is not one of those things. It's the same specification for both.
As for the angle to hold it at. The idea is to have the float just be coming into contact with the float needle, without compressing the tiny little spring/plunger that is inside the float needle. I don't think that it's critical if it's 9.3 mm or 9.7 mm if the spec is 9.5. It's more important that they be the same across the 4 carburetors. So focus on consistency.
