I had an accident on my cbr1000f ( 1996) and I am struggling to find the plastics I need to put her back on road,

i need the rear near side fairing (or the whole lot if it doesn’t come apart, rear light is fine...
( found on one eBay if no luck here)

i also need the upper cowl that fits above the headlight and bolts to the main fairing and the screen bolts to that...
this I am finding impossible to get hold of,

i have owned her for 15 years and never damaged her, now I’m gutted, if I go through insurance I will loose her, and got to many memories for this..

does anyone have spares or know where I can find them please,

Hi Kev, E-bay is definitely your best bet , or a donor bike for spares

 

It would be helpful to know what country you are in.

What color is your bike?

Hi sorry guys I’m in the uk, willing to pay postage, my bike is purple and black, the front part needed is black, but I will have to restart bike anyway, want to keep it standard as from factory,

Have secondary parts from my second CBR1000F which was also a 94. I didn't keep everything but.. will look tomorrow. Bike parts are across town. Will leave msg ASAP! Know what it's like to have to wait! Believe me! So what your talking about is the tail cowling right? Too bad I couldn't ship the whole bike! I'm selling it after a "Hit and run"....

 

Hi thanks for the swift reply, it’s a shame you cannot get it back on the road, they seem to becoming harder to get hold of and they are a fantastic bike, I hope you was ok after the accident,

could you get pics if possible, I’m looking for the near side rear cowling, or if it doesn’t come apart will have to be the whole tail cowling (left side when sitting on bike)

main in part is the cowling that goes above the front light, where the screen attaches too, ( I have found some of this year does not have this part as front cowling is all one)

Hello Septic Wasp, Good news! I do have the complete cowling for the bike! Now it"s a bit scratched here and there BUT! Can be re painted to new! Now... so we are on the same page in terms of terminology.... I have the UPPER COWLING, LOWER COWLING ,SIDE PANELS AND REAR SEAT COWLING. So... Watcha need!?
