Hell of an offer, Henry. I'm even thinking about taking you up on it.

If this happens shakey, you have to come down and keep us amused. If the swearing lvels drop below the legal limit you can step in. Can't beat a good **** with a Lancashire accent.
D'ya think he'll 'get in'..... or go for the haggle?

Henry,
Sorry, not been on for a while.
Yes, I am the one who used to commute to Cheltenham.
Hell of an offer you've made, as everyone's said, but strange thing... I've just changed the oil and the CCT noise has almost gone! Not even too bad when starting up cold, nothing when riding and almost purring at tickover.
So can I take a rain-check? No doubt this is only a temporary reprieve...

Well H, we all seem a little too busy for our own good, or at least to have time to hang around here.
Glad the oil change has quietened her down a bit. Very good news. I did an oil change a couple of thou miles ago but it didn't do much for my noises...... sadly.
Anyway, if you ever fancy a bit of a get together (and you too shakey) drop me a line and we'll do it.

Shakey, taking the **** out of your accent is not the name of the game at all. It about enjoying the rich diversity of our culture. I happen to think northern accents are beautiful to listen to....... and then there's the sense of humour that goes with them. The world would be so dull if we all sounded the same.

Anyway, I've got a list of things to do on the bike..... must dash!

Henry,
I'm a northerner too - Manchester - but have lived around London since 1976.
When you changed your oil, did you try 20W50? Seeing as new 10W40 has quietened my CBR down a bit, perhaps 20W50 will be even better - what do you think?
On the subject of tensioners, there's one on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/honda-cbr1000-...item336532e977
This looks different from the one in the parts list - is it the uprated one and if so is it a direct replacement?
See you soon maybe - I commute into London now - do you ever make it into the metrolopis?
