Heat from Bike

One thing i did notice on my first real ride, was the amount of heat coming from the bike.

Is this normal, it was felt mainly around the leg area.

Sorry no picture of my legs available, but twist my arm.......

The problem with internal combustion engines is that they are nothing but heaters with a little by product called motion. When it is hot there is heat around the legs whether it be air or liquid cooled. Where these bike shine is when it gets cold out. I love the blanket of warm air that flows past the legs in cold riding temps. To tell you the truth the blanket of warm air is controlled by the radiator thermostat and seams to be the same all year. It would be nice if it were cool air in the summer but you can't have your cake and bla..bla...bla....

Tell me about it! been riding these roads a couple of weeks ago... over 40°C and not kidding! I could really feel the heat right on my ankles at low speed. Of course, there's a simple solution to that... hehe

Heat you say. The heat from the bike does not bother me but my suggestion to you is don't eat gassy foods before you ride & that will reduce the heat between your legs. I remember when I first moved to Arizona & went for ride in the summer about 110 degrees give or take. My knuckles were roasted from the wind I was making moving forward.

Like u guys said the heat is great in the winter... im always cuddling close to it when riding.. and in the summer u just gotta spread your legs (thats what he said.. hehe) and let the wind cool your pants off every 10-20miles. I guess its a by product of metal parts moving ten thousand (plus) revolutions per min. heheh
