Healdight bulb replacement
Wow guys! I saw a lot of posts in the past about headlight bulbs but I never really payed attention to them. Well, one of my low beams went out. I didnt know they built the bike around the bulbs! What a choir! I read how some can get the retainer clip back on without seeing it, but I couldnt do it this time. I ended up taking off lots of parts that I didnt even need to just to figure how how to see what I was working on.
As far as the replacement bulb, I just bought something that would fit.

Knowing what you are up against is the big part of the operation. Once you know How it is configured, you are more able to reach in and do it blind.
When doing the right side, I turn the bars to give me the best room and stand backwards while reaching in with my right hand. Eyes open or eyes closed is an option.
It does suck trying to do it one handed (blind folded) while not touching the bulb.

"Buy a Good set of HIDs" Is there a direct replacement with these? Are the HID bulbs the ones with a ballast that have to be installed. Thats something I keep trying to figure but there seems to be a lot of answers or more likely I'm not getting my little brain around the subject. Asking about a 93 1000F.

You need a kit with 2 ballast light kits with dual hi/low beams (Bi Xenon)HB2/9003/H4 You May have to bend the tabs back on most cheaper units to fit. JDM H4A is smaller H4 but cost way more normally. The bending works just fine to save some cash.
Yes you want the ones with mini digital ballasts, mount them away from any wiring or anything that it may melt, fairing frame or neck is fine place to mount, they do get very warm. 35 or 55w your choice.
Go here: HID Conversion Kit H1 H3 H4 H7 H10 H11 H13 9004, 9006 | eBay
they have 3 cost levels they sell, all 35w last I knew.
or here http://www.ddmtuning.com/ good rep on many forums 35w and 55w kits.
both have good priced stuff that works go 4-6000 temp range and 35w works better than any Halogen 75w. A 55w H4-3 bi-xenon 2-4xs brighter when used with 4300 (very brightest at night) but cost the most. Any ? just contact either of them.
