Default Headlight Question

I just had a new battery installed on my 1990 CBR1000f, and shortly thereafter my headlight stopped working. Not just the low beam light, but the high beam and high beam indicator have all stopped functioning.

Checking and replacing the fuse didn't help; I did notice there was no voltage across the fuse terminals, where I would have expected ~12v DC (I think.)

Any ideas where to start searching? The wiring loom on this thing is fairly scary...

Thanks,

Larry

Does everything else on the bike still work?

Yes, all running lights, turn signals and indicators are still working.

I really thought it sounded like the fuse. Would the fuse terminals usually show voltage across them (tested with a DMM)?

Thanks for any help-

Larry

There's a terminal under the right hand windscreen/radiator panel which controls the headlight on my Mk2 - perhaps you just have a loose connection there.
FWIW

My bet's with Shadow, do you still get a neutral light on the panel above the clocks?

Yes, as far as I can tell, every other electrical item on the bike is working fine.

Would the fuse connections usually show voltage across the two terminals? (In other words, with the fuse pulled and one lead of a DMM on each side, should it read DC voltage?) I'm currently getting nothing there, though I'm not sure if it should.

Thanks much for taking the time to help-

Larry
