In the process of installing this LSL kit on my '93 1000F. I've got the new hardware mounted, and have about 90 min in the whole project, but anticipate big problems ahead to address length/routing issues on both sides.
I'll post some pictures as I get around to it. Recommend lifting the tank before putting on the triple clamp risers, because it does NOT clear them now, and of course (as always), you'll have to pull all the tupperware to see what's going on. If it looks like I'll have to disconnect the clutch/brake banjos (undetermined), then this will become a full pad/bleed/tire change operation as well...maybe even fork work. The brake line routing concerns me the most, due to the LBS complexity and the harness junction near the horn/radiator. |
What riser clamps did you use? Do they set the bars back (pull back) or go straight up?
Can't wait to here the post road test. |
I'm totally confused by this thread, since those Spiegler risers are made for bikes that use standard type bars, not for bikes that use clip-ons like ours do.
|
It's a triple tree adaptation ... we had a thread on this a few years back ..... BRB
In this thread Shadows post linked to Tony Dillworth (Foodman) Spiegler LSLTrip' Mount(S) with riser clamps lays down on existing trip' tree http://foodman123.com/cbrbar2.jpg |
Maybe I should have remembered that, considering that I posted in that thread and Shadow also mentioned my bars in his post.

What a mess, wouldn't adjustable bars be better, that setup looks very ordinary IMO.
