A good tire
So I wanted to see what you guys had to say about tires on the Hurricane... I put the 2ct's on a few weeks ago and they are about shot. I have never lit the rear up but i do accelerate like a bat outa hell and I also have a tendency to race to the next red light when riding. I am down to barley any tread left in the center of the tire. I love the twisties, but also treat my bike as a daily driver and am up for ideas on a tire with a harder center but yet a very soft side. Any suggestions?

Pilot Road2s for me. Great grip and feel in wet or dry and seem to last too. There's nothing more I could want from my tyres. This is one of the staple topics around here and there's been lots of debate (almost a mass-debate in fact) hit the search tab for several days of reading.
I think the general feeling is that if you stick to well established brands with a bit of race tyre experience, since the R&D filters down to road bikes, you can't go too far wrong. Most people seem to find a tyre that suits them and stick to them. Everyone will tell you that their brand is best (only the guys with PR2s are right though ). Happy reading

I have Avon storm ultra2, love them up to now, great grip , never lean that much with my bt021, and also they make the bike feel quxiker in steerring, i have a 180 ain the back and a 120 up front, and in the wet wow! and on top they are cheaper than the rest, I had a comparison test in bike a year ago and they are all about equal it is a matter of feeling and taste.

This is my second season on a set of BS BT016's They're a step up in performance from BT021/023's. The rear has a triple compound tread (5 bands) while the front is duel compound (3 bands) The harder centers seem to be giving good wear. With over 6k miles on them the front center tread is 7/64" rear center 11/64" Unfortunately I didn't measre the tread when new.
They stick well in the corners. That's all that matters to me.

Michelin PR2 for me , about to change the front as the sides are almost bald(in fact the right side IS bald!! ) but centre still has plenty of tread.
If you dare try these and let me know how they are
