Default Forks

Hi guys.

OK a really really dumb question, but I got to ask...

On my 1993, are the forks cartridges or dampening rods? According to several magazine write ups, 93 and up were "non adjustable cartridges" , but if you look in the Maint Manual, it only shows a dampning rod. I'm sure you guys realize by now that I'm planning to rebuild with Race techs ( got them on Ebay reel cheep), but Im very very cornfuzed???
ANybody?
Has anybody done this already?
Has anybody touched the guts of the forks?

Thanks

Art

AFAIK the way I read it, it is a case of both. I beleive there is a dampening Rod for Compression and a cartridge for re-bound. Might be vive versa.
