Default Fork Spring Rate

Does anyone know the front fork spring rate? Racetech doesnt show it nor does the service manual. I'm thinking of going with a 1.0 or 1.1kg spring to help with the excessive brake dive.

What's in it now is irrelevant. Since its diving, it too light and worn out. Get the spring rate appropriate for your weight. Racetech's website has a chart to pick the correct set.

How much do you weigh?

Im 180lbs. Im aware of choosing the correct spring rate ( Ive built several track bikes) but Im curious how much of a rate increase Im looking at. I may go a little softer than "ideal" depending on whats in there now.

What's in there now was probably set up fora 140lb rider. They come pretty soft from the factory, then became even softer over the years.

Choose a little stiffer than what your target rate is. It will soften up a bit when it gets a few miles on them.
