Default Farewell

It is with sadness that I bid you a fond farewell (for now).
I've enjoyed the wonderful camaraderie and all the help you've given me over the past few years. Without you I wouldn't have been able to replace the CCT, the starter clutch etc etc.
In all my biking years I've only ever had Hondas - CBR1000F in 1988, then a VFR800, then the CBR1000F again.
But I've gone over to the other side and just taken delivery of a 2008 Hayabusa. I'll let you know what it's like - I'm both excited and fearful!

What should I do with the CBR? I can't afford to run both bikes and it needs a bit more TLC.

If the CBR1000F doesn't owe you anything Hmmm and you have the room - park it and work on it at your leisure.

That way you can tell us all about your exploits with the 'Busa ...............

Cheers, SB

I say good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Of course I only say that because I am jealous. I've always wanted a 'busa just to feel the speed if nothing else. Like the others have said, no need to go. It's a great group of folks to hang out with even if you don't keep your Honda.

You shouldn't have mentioned the busa. Now we need to see a photo of the back tire smoke'n.

There'll be no smoking tyres just yet, thank you very much.
I took my first ride on it today, commuting into London. I set off really carefully, damp roads and wet leaves everywhere, in riding mode C. I think that's C for Coward. I reckon in mode C it's slightly less powerful and responsive than the CBR. And those Yoshimura cans sound amazing.
Tomorrow I might try mode B...

That`s a nice looking bike no wonder you were tempted over to the dark side.

And yeah, what`s with the stand, going racing?

No centre stand...
Mode B today... took me a little by surprise as the revs rose, but still easy to manoeuvre in traffic.
