Default Engine oil - UK recomendations?

After reading THIS thread about oils I didn't seem to be that clearer about what to go for. I know Honda recommend a 4 stroke 10w-40 SE, SF or SG rated, but a lot of people have said to go down the semi synthetic route. A close friend recommended, Rock Oil - Guardian 10w-40 semi.
I'd be happy to hear what the rest of you guys actually use ?.

Yep I use the good ole Diesel as well.

But we cant reccomend oils as they are different from Country to Country.

I.E Over here Rotella is a completely different blend to the USA etc.

Use Rock Oil - Guardian 10w-40 semi myself, does the job. Any quality bike semi is ok.
