I'm with weekendrider. My 95 sends more heat out of the left side vents.

I have a 91 and she is not hot at all!! The vents have a rubber that closes the vent and keeps the heat away!!! If you stand still in trafic you get that but not when riding normal!!!

Been there, done that, roasted my ballies.....

It's my 2nd cbr1000f, and both got pretty hot........especially in leathers and slow traffic...

They are flaps that attach to the inside of your fairing. Mine stay open a little, not much. I'm with latsky, my '91 isn't hot. But then, I don't ride wearing shorts.

On a 88 would they cover the 2 vents at the head

Its seems like some modification would be allowed without effecting the performance of the cooling (which I do not want to happen).

Maybe some screen material will stop some of the flow while not looking so bad.
