I'm put about 3K miles on my 88 Hurricane since I got it. Put a new clutch in it - valve adjustment etc etc...No problems with it at the moment.
I do have a question though: What is the source of the chirping-buzz sound these bikes make? I know it's normal cuz' they all seem to do it - but what is causing it?

 

I dunno mate ! my bike makes a knock knock whir sound but that’s the cam chain protesting, I have had bikes before that have chirped and it was due to a busted head gasket.

 

Mine make a chirpy sound when I apply the front brakes, I think the same noise is there a little when not applying the brakes

 

I haven't paid attention.. possibly a join in the fairings that rubs and squeeks?? just a thought
