E-Zpass
For anyone using E-Zpass or similar type of toll devices, I found a place to attach mine where it is not seen. I pulled the windscreen and removed the upper firing inner.
I attached the E-Zpass to the part between the plastic and rubber skirt. This task will take about 15 minutes.

Do you have any pictures of your setup? I have mine attached to my windscreen.

geoffv,
Pictures won't show anything. That was the whole idea. The E-Zpass is hidden under the upper firing before the windscreen is put back on. You can't tell that the bike has an E-Zpass by looking at it. It works great. I drive through the toll both and the reader reads the tag and off I go. No fuss or muss, no dealing with change.
I have a '94 and I don't know if you are configured the same way or have the clearance that I do for the tag.
I you look at the bottom picture that is from my manual, in the original thread, you will see an arrow pointing to the upper firing. By luck it pionts to where I attached the tag. I put it between the the rubber piece that is attached to the upper firing and the upper firing itself. That rubber piece acts like a weather protector. It's as if Honda intended the riders to put E-Zpasses there.
I travel on the New York State thruway about 5 times a month for work and on occasion for leisure. That is a great idea, but I couldn't figure out how to get it mounted. I already have a radar detector mounted on the screen, an mp3 player on the upper edge of the guage pod, and sometimes a camera mount. The windshield was getting cluttered. I found places for every thing since your post getting ready for the ezpass install. Thanks for the good idea.
Yep, steve_cardiff, bikes are charged the same as 4 wheel vehicles such as cars and trucks without more than one rear axel. I think it's bogus, because the thruway (I-90 always charges up instead of giving discount)

We have a few toll places in the U.K. ie the 'Severn Bridge', which incidentaly is free for bikes. The Dartmoor tunnel used to be a toll for bikes until about a thousand bikers all got together and rode through the tunnel. Each one stopped, got off the bike, removed gloves etc, presented a £10 note, waited for change, put gloves back on etc and then rode off. They caused chaos and the tunnel owners soon decided it would be better if it were free for bikers.

The thing with tolls is that it is supposed to go to maintenance of the tunnel,
road or bridge. I read once that a truck 10% over loaded does as much damage to a road as 100,000 cars passing over it. How much damages does one bike make?
I travel the toll road now and then. They are not real fun but they do get you places quickly.
I can use my E-Zpass here in New York and in other states. They give bikes a 50% discount on the toll.

They give cars 10% off tolls with E-Zpass.
I have one in my car and a different tag when I pull my trailer.
You can get a tag for a one axle trailer.
Up until this spring I had my pass in my tank bag and pulled it out before hitting the toll road. I used to jam it between the windscreen and the upper firing upper. I would put it back in the the tank bag when I got to where I was going.
Illushun, I take the New York State Thruway between Schenectady and Albany to get to the mall and other places. I also have a '94, so I know that you will not have a problem with the mounting.
I pulled my bike apart to check on the E-Zpass and took some photos.
Here is where it in mounted.

We are charged the same as for a car, even one towing a single-axle mobile home !!
You can load 4 bikes on a single-axle trailer, and tow them through the booth, and only pay for the car...........the whole system's a disgrace in SA - all the bikers moan, we don't have an e-z pass system, so it's out with the cash or the credit card, or just "shoot through" and take a chance ( which we do on the more expensive toll routes) Wrong, I know, but.........[:@][:@]
