Do You Lean Like I Do?

Do You Lean Like I Do?
Took the ole girl on a romp this morning to burn off some chicken strips and noticed something. I seem to favor right side leans. Meaning I feel much more comfortable and take deeper, longer leans to the right side than the left. Do any of you do this? I know its something I need to get over and better with and become a more skilled rider but I was wondering if any of you do the same thing. I am right handed and wonder if that may have something to do with it....

Gyroscopic effect.....IMO .......really
I believe downunder it has an opposite effect and they all swing to the left
down in the Southern Hemi....... ...........no I said swing not hang !
Bit like water goin' down the bowl if you ask me
Crikey ! expect the boys from down under to chime in anytime soon

Nope, I think the downunder boys swing both ways!! (although not very well at either, I hear.. LOL.. )
Seriously, though, micheal... I prefer rights, too. Not much difference at all anymore, but I still notice it sometimes. I'm left handed, though, for the most part. I write with my left hand, eat with my left, bat left, throw right, shoot right. I feel like my right hand is dominant, though. Kinda weird. Fits me, I guess....

Both ways huh ? The G'day Gwendolin factor ! Ha ha ha Well .......... when they come a chargin' I'll refer 'em to you then
Seriously right is easier because I think it's the gyro effect of those
weighty wheels spinning on the bike
Not chittin' ya
Take a gyro spin it up you'll find it more difficult to turn it left on it's axis
than right.
here ya go the "theory of leanativity"

I don't get what you mean, sprockman..
I understand the gyroscopic effect (for the most part...lol), but how would that make micheal (or me) prefer right hand turns?
My theory is that right hand turns here in the good 'ole USA give you more road to use if you need it. It's obviously not a good idea to use it.... but maybe psychologically, you know it's there and you feel more comfortable taking rights harder and faster.
Left hand turns... you're in the ditch if you take it too hard. Your brain knows it, even if you're not really "thinking" about it.
Just a theory...

agreed rights are easier no matter
Trout Man
back in the day I used to ride to the left of the center line in Ireland
& yeah, ya had bit more working space but still righties were easier to take
at a clip. For me makes no matter, rights are still way easier. Dunno what it is myself either exactly.
Got me 18tooth front sprocket today ........I'm like a kid in a candy store
Nothing else matters.

Way back I remember reading that the reason righthanders like myself prefer left turns is because the stronger and more dominate right arm can be further away, stretched out, as you lean and hang off the bike. The left arm will stay closer to the body and not be working as much. You will have the bike leaned over, with a pull on the right grip for counter-steer. The stronger arm will give the best performance and inspire the most confidence.

Living in Perth Western Australia, I am defenitely in the southern hemisphere. Much prefer left handers and can get much deeper into them.
I always just presumed it was just my preferred side to lean on, never thought it could have a valid scientific reason. Thanks for the education.
Cheers
