Yep, I'm all for you keeping it and fixing it up IF (and only IF) you can do it for cheap and there isn't any structural damage etc.
Sometimes you run into more problems on a bike than it's worth. If major components and stays etc are all in good order, you could have a chance at getting yourself a nice ride for real cheap, but if not.... I'd just sell it off for more as a whole parts bike or part it out yourself. It's not like you have any attachment to the bike.
BTW, pics would be cool...

Thanks guys for the comments. But man I am missing alot. The guy I bought it off of took all the fairings off lost all the bolt some of the panels etc. I just don't know if it is worth the hours of searching for all the parts that are missing. And the salavage yards I have called are freaking crazy on there prices for used parts. 1 guy qouted me for the upper fairing $450.00 when new is $600.00 and I don't have to paint it. I did find another 91 for sale in my area for $2000.00 so I may just part this out and buy that one.

But someone said that some other parts will fit on the 91. Like what cause I figure I need ever fairing on the bike. What does MK1 MK2 MK3 mean?
I will take some pics and show you guys soon.

Mk1 - F/H 87 and F/J 88
Mk2 - FK/L/M 89-92
Mk3 93 onwards

Engine spares are mostly the same
Fairings are all different and not interchangeable as far as I know
Mk1 wheels are thinner than Mk2 and Mk3
Mk1 and 2 have normal brakes, Mk3 has linked brakes.

Hope this helps

OK guys heres the pics of the bike. I got it running real good today cleaned carbs, fixed coolant leak, one of the hoses had a cut in it. Fixed the noisey *** muffler with new matting. Drove it and ran it throught the gears and is all good.

So now the part of find all the fairings. If you notice how many I am missing and are broken that new parts are in order. I can't figure out how to get the pics from my album to here so all the pics are in my photo album.

Sooooooooooooooo
From what I can see, you need
Tailpiece
2 side fairings by footpegs
Windscreen.

That front fairing frame could do with being replaced, so everything will fit straight when it goes back.

THAT'S NOT MUCH !
Hell, I'll send you a windscreen for postage only

2 side fairings you can find on e-Bay - cheap - under $30 for both - UK
Fairing frame, about the same, $30

It's worth fixing, even if you only give it a rattlecan paint job to start with.

Hell, I'd give you $600 as it is, if I was a bit closer...........

Certainly not near as bad as I figured. I thought all the plastic was trashed. Not too bad at all from the looks of it.

not to bad but I want perfect. I figure since I paid $400 I could damn near buy all new fairings and be pretty close to what I would pay out right for the bike.

I just ordered the upper stay, like shadow said good place to start.
