It really depends on your weight and if you carry a pillion or not.

First thing to set is the ride height - normally set bg measuring the SAG from full extension.

Typical sag settings are 35mm front & 30mm rear

On the honda shock - I had the damping screw 1/2 turn from max stiff.

I'm 85kg

I eventually replaced the std honda shock with a Hagon shock and the ride was much better with that on.

Dean0,
I've been thinking of getting a Hagon shock for sometime now. Is it really worth the money if my stock shock still seems to be working?

hey guys i think i got it right turn it down a little th suspension was toos tiff, so when i hit a curbe it couldd kee the tire down it was always pushed up by a bump, turned it to maximum setting them back it up 5 or 6 clicks.

Summer has been great the buike is now at 121000kms, no oil burning , till pulling like a freightrain.. i would not change it, i tried a st1050 triumph this summer, the hurricane has the same feel, i tried a Katana, vibrations gallores and no power...tried a zx9-r , position is too extreme, cbr1000f is the best for me... Honda shopuld get another one out like that but not with a v but an inline!!!

finishingthe season and coming back to tell all my adventures.

hope you guys are allright and fine!

I thought it was a very good shock for every day riding. The cost of an OEM shock was just scary.

After using hagon rear shock, hagon front springs and 10wt shock oil the bike felt transformed.

I even removed the chicken strips from the FRONT tyre !!

when I ran a 120/170 tyre setup i had strips on the front and nothing on the back.

After i changed to a 120/180 tyre setup i ran out of front tyre (no chicken strip) and still had 1/8th inch on the back tyre.
