Coolant Hose ID Sizes ??
Quick question : any one know the different ID (inside diameter) sizes of the
various coolant hoses used on the 1000F ??? To buy all oem individually is $$$$$, I just want to get some bulk hose and do them all by myself with SS hose clamps My hoses are shot ......that sweet smell of evaporating anti-freeze making me nervous again. Don't you go calling me lazy agin Henry :icon_hunter: |
Hey Sprock, don't forget to check the o-ring on the right side of the cylinder head where the coolant goes in (mine has started to weep big time, though it was the headgasket for a little bit)

good reminder
Yeah thanks Mal' for reminding me ....I do have a complete set of generic ORINGS that should do the biz .....................but good point though thanks man.
Reckon I'll just pull the pump hose drain her and take a slice of each to Napa and buy couple ft of each ......unless someone haz specifics ...............anyhow |
It seem like it would be tough to figure out all the diameters, etc.
Just walk into napa like a caveman, hand over the hose and say: "gimme more this!" :D That's what I would do, you lazy azz... :icon_wink: |

Malbojah,
Where are those O rings you are talking about? I know mine need replacing. I have been smelling coolant from mine since the day I bought it and that has to be where its coming from. |

Also check the hoses in that area as well. Make sure the clamps are tight and no weeping (but not tight enough to crack anything
