Fairings for 87 & 88 were interchangeable, 89-91 ditto, 1992 no bikes were made, although some 91's were sold as 92's and (I think) 93-96 interchangeable ditto. My system is down so I can't pull up the original colours for 87 & 88 sorry.

The 87 FH was black with a red tank top and red wheels - see post on who's got the cleanest CBR- there's a brilliant example of a red & black 87'
The 88 FJ was black tank, red centre of fairing, black lower fairing, according to the Honda parts manual.I'll pull the pics if I can.....(there's no mention of white/red, or black/silver in the parts manuals ex Honda Japan.....)hope this helps

There's a pic of a red/white combo on the cover of the Haynes manual, as I recall. Come to think of it, my California model colour scheme isn't mentioned in the Honda stuff either - shows how accurate THAT is....There are a couple of really nice 87/88 models in the "who's got the cleanest CBR" started by JB - have a look ......

Blue 1000f's grey example above likely had the CBR decal was added later. In Canada the '87's were Hurricanes (for both years I think..)

you'll find a list of Hurricanes here if you scroll down below the specifications. Those bikes were sold in Sweden, and other countries have somewhat different colors.
