Default clutch lever and cable

ok, so last night i was cruising around and I heard something metal fall, i stopped and looked, saw nothing. Shortlyafter, my bike acted like it wasn't catching right (like i was letting off the clutch real slow). Then my clutch lever was not releasing all the way and i had to push it out. After doing this at a stop light, it went completely into freeplay. NO CLUTCH and STUCK IN FIRST!!!! [sm=headbang.gif] The lever is broken where thre "tensioner" is and the cable is snapped back into the wire casing. Now my bike is sitting in my driveway under a tarp because its about to rain. I have checked ebay and have found nothing, does anyone know where i can find what i need?

For all CBR1000F parts on ebay:

http://search-desc.ebay.com/CBR1000F...1QQxpufuZxQ5A1

Here are some levers:

Here is a master cylinder kit:

Your local dealer should have the parts that you need.

There is no cable, all 1000F's use an hydraulic clutch. From your pictures I can't tell if the pivot point is broken on the lever or if the housing on the hydraulic cylinder is broken or both.

The pic below is of a later model CBR , but the way it works is basically the same.

There is a cylindrical bush, that pushes on a rod that pushes on the matercylinder cup. The rod slides in a housing.

So I would say that the rod, housing & bush are what you heard hitting the ground. But its all guesswork as I dont have any manuals for that year.

Mate, just replaced my clutch blade which cost $15 australian. The piston snd rubber bush was only another $12. my old blade simply wore out after 20 years as I suspect yours has. Get your hands on a Haynes manual, worth the $50.
