Default Clutch Issue Any Help Greatly Appreciated

Well guys...i've noticed after finally getting my beast running that my clutch only engages at the very end of my release. It is a hydraulic clutch so im not sure if you can adjust it or if it needs fluid or what.

Any ideas Guys?

Sounds normal to me. But Ive been riding this bike for the last 16 years so I don't even think about the release point on the clutch anymore. It's al second nature now.

What adjustable levers do you have Bio ? I have some Pazzos on my BB but they don't seem to make them for 1000F. I'd be interested to know what you have and where you got them and I might get some myself. Cheers.

i have ebay pazzo knockoffs that are supposed to be for the VTR1000. here is the link of the auction i bought them from:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

i got shorty levers, but they seem to be about the same length as the stock ones. having some adjustability in them is really awesome. i would try and go with the same seller of these levers. when indy ordered a set he said his would make the brake light up all the time. i had no problems with these and they were 100% bolt on for me. shipping took a little bit of time because they are coming from taiwan, but they are very quality pieces.

Yep - I had a pair of VTR1000 levers on my 1000F because they were adjustable.

Didn't bother with pazzo's or anything else fancy - just a good quality pair of replacement levers to keep the factory look.

I'm gonna get me some of those for sure. I take it the clutch/front brake perches on the 89 are the same as your 94 ?? Thanks again.

Having Pazzos on my BB I just took them off and they are interchangeable with the 1000F. Have just ordered some Pazzo knock off levers from www.rideitmoto.com

Did they change the BB brake reservoir cos my 1000F levers wouldnt go on. The part that presses the master cylinder piston is different.
BB has a cup on the lever that the master cylinder pin fits in to.
1000F has a prong on the lever that pushes on the flat master cylinder piston.
