WIll do Sprok, Thanks for the heads up. Im considering doing the clutch my self. I read through the "pictorial" on this forum. Is it a difficult job to do? It seems kinda stright forward.

Things that I've been told to look out for:

1. The nut holding the clutch basket on is abear to get off. An impact / air tool may be necesary.

2. There is a specific order that the plates need to go in, I can screw it up of they get outa wack.

Malbojah did the how too and a nice one at that ..... ya should be able to handle it
easily enough, just remember in there he recommends a torque wrench ! unless you
are one of those naturally gifted people he mentions.

I would not use an impact wrench on the nut ..... just me !
Just stack them taking them off ....ya can't go wrong.....last out first on

Sounds normal enough to me, all honda's i've owned had a notchy shift between 1st and 2nd, takes a real positive shift. I just take it easy between 1st and 2nd now and my bike is a 97 with only 9k miles.

cbroar, mine is an 88 with just inder 20k on it. She runs like a top, the only problem is the shifting thing and to be honest, if I take it really easy and keep my 1st to 2nd shift below 30mph then there is no problem at all. I can run out all the rest ofmy gears with no problem. That is why we think it's clutch related...

Thanks again for everyon's help. I'm looking forward to feeling how the new parts effect the ride... The clutch (EBC SRK) has "heavy duty" springs. How will that effect the feel/performance of the clutch? Anyone know?

Finally got all of the parts in and dropped it off at the mechanics. Can hardly wait to see how she runs when I get her back.
