Man that is definitely pink !

A while back I bought a pretty much as new Laser 4 into one stainless system for my CBR , I also bought a Dynojetted carb bank of the same bike the carbs n pipes inc K n N type filters had all been set up on one bike. The exhaust system is on but I've delayed putting the carbs on . What did you gain from adding dyno jet n filters to yours ,is it a huge difference ?

PS 150 jets in the carbs I have dyno jetted supposed to have been tuned to the same exhaust (Laser) that I have

Improves the mid range a bit - but then having said that it could be the exhaust AND the Dynojets together. I haven't found another standard 1000F that can stay with me..................
A friend of mine has a 1000F engine that he uses in a drag bike () that puts out over 300BHP so anything is possible.

This is probably a bit contentious but I don't feel that 4/1 pipe systems are an improvement over 4/2.
Anything that reduces exhaust gas flow can't be good for performance IMHO.
Find me a dragster that has an exhaust......................LoL

The "pink pig" is a testament to the build quality of Hondas - engine has never been opened, gawd knows how many owners, probably done either 163000 or 263000 K's - not sure - all I know is she starts and runs first time every time, and makes everyone smile - including me. Can't corner for ****, lousy brakes, dodgy suspension but she has character - take her down to the local "hangout" and everyone laughs - then come to me and ask if I want to sell her................

And yes before I get jumped on - we're way off subject here but it is your thread !

Oh dear Shadow, Challenge accepted !!! lol
What pies have you on yours?
I hear what you are saying about gas flow. That said the Lazer system I have on is a pretty big 70mm with none of the horrendously restricting bends n kinks in it that the original system has, much lighter too. When I bought her it had a Nexus 4into2 on it , still in almost new condition but, scarily quiet , it whispered along at 90 mph n you know how dozy car drivers are, they need as much waking up and warning that you are coming as you can give .
Did the up jetting bugger economy at all? Don't get me wrong I don't puddle about , I got nearly 50mpg when I picked it up on the 200 mile run home, all very steady in top gear, never got that since I average high thirties per gallon I guess ,would'nt want it diving much lower than that .
You mentioned stick coil conversion , I read a really good how to on here , I forget who posted it , do you really think you will gain much in doing it , I am considering it myself ,do you see it being performance enhancing ?
I hear you on old Hondas I've had more Honda's n been far happier with them than any other bike.

PS : Do you know any rear huggers that fit an SC21 after the later and wider rear wheel has been fitted?or if the later splash guard under seat mud guard fits to the early frame . I seem to get a hell of a lot of crap slung up under there since the hugger was removed (yeah I ride in the wet too)

Mmmmmmm - not one to brag but........................as it's a challenge..................
Bike tops out at around 275KPH. I don't know it's real top speed as I run out of ***** and road before it happens. I've had her at 265KPH a number of times.
11Kilometers in 2min 45 sec from a rolling start.
Scared me wet and sweaty, never again.
Running mate was a BMW1000RR
You can work out the average - done on a freeway(and I needed both lanes and the bits inside the emergency lanes both sides too)

Suffice it to say the old girl still makes people sit up and take notice

Jetting changes only cost you when running really hard - otherwise the bike is fairly frugal, around 17K/Litre- about 46 MPG
I average high thirties per gallon - You either have worn bits in the carbs or a leak

You mentioned stick coil conversion Look in the how to section.
No I expect what the guys have told me, easier starting and smoother running. Not really a "go faster" mod.

Do you know any rear huggers that fit an SC21 after the later and wider rear wheel has been fitted
To my knowledge (and I've been looking for 8 years) nobody makes one for the Mk2/3 wider wheel. You'd probably have to buy one for the SC21 - plenty of those around - and widen the middle to take the wider wheel.

Mine I took up to 168 mph (his reading not mine) ,that was playing with a zzr1100 who thought he could leave me Ha Ha .he could'nt , it's the only time I've taken her that high , it IS fast. We do tend to ride hard and fast though and my main riding partner has a Millie thou I have to work hard to match the take of speed n torque of his bike . I then get high 30's pg high 40's if riding to the speed limit mainly top gear work .
Think I may stick those carbs n filters on as I have her in bits already, may look into stick coils too, I really like that idea.

My reading was off a Garmin.......................
My riding buddy has a Ducati Panigale.
205 BHP and Brembo's plus slipper clutch and all the toys.(and he can ride)
No staying with him, but surprised him how well it did go.............
He did 308KPH (192MPH) on one run...........................

So much irresponsible talk, tut tut.

Do you guys not have speed limits in your countries?

You should remember Shadow that we're generally an older community here in the Hurricane Section. I'm sure some of the members here have grandchildren (but not me), so we don't want to be promoting any kind of irresponsible behavior do we?

Did I see it was on a public road ? Yes but a closed section not open to the public.
Did I mention that we had observers along the route ?

You should remember Shadow that we're generally an older community

And as far as I know other than DRam I'm older than all of you
And yes I have 5 grand children.
I guess clarification was required by the member under the long white cloud

BUT
I'D RATHER DIE ON MY FEET THAN LIVE ON MY KNEES.

Which would probably be echoed by every member of this forum.

WTF?? Seriously ?
If you have grandchildren and let them play on roads ,be it ones with speed limits, without or private you don't deserve em !!
Theres always one beaky wherever you go ,that just can;t help butting in where they are not wanted.Age has nothing to do with anything ,it's about being responsible and there are even more that would say just riding a bike is dangerous and irresponsible.
FFS I don't really believe your comment and certainly don't care for it!!
