Default carb problems

i was adjusting my carbs, and i loosened my sync screw for cylinder one too far. the screw fell out and made its way to the floor, but ill be damned if i can find the spring. how necessary is this spring? does it keep the screw from vibrating and self adjusting?

Go to Home Depot Racing.
That's where I get my Racing screws, aluminum panels, isolating foam, insulating tape, cables, etc.
Or take a thick pen, that has a spring inside and take it out.
VOILA, done!!!
