Default Cannot take fairing off

Trying to remove the front part on my 99' model, its the part directly under the headlight that connects either side and is held in by 2 plastic screws (which are rubbish quality).
I have undone them but it won't budge, it's only thin plastic and I don't want to apply to much force. Any tips?

to the best of my knowledge if the 93 and in 99 are exactly the same you can not remove the lower panel without removing one of the upper fairing panels it locks into both of them is this the part in which you're referring to

First, the plastic screws you refer to are not really screws but are plugs. Once you pull these plugs out, you also have to remove the small pieces that they plug into. Then the piece shuold come off easily.
