Cane went Down
Was hit this last Friday going through an intersection, apparently she did not know her colors and thought red meant go. I am not sure of the damage to the bike but I do know the entire right side is damage, it slid pretty far, and as soon as it was picked up all the oil dumped out. The tow yard won't let me see it unless I pay eighty dollars, so I have to wait until Monday when it will be free. However, I was looking at this on Ebay but don't think I will need it any longer. There was another rider that wrote his name down for me and told the cops that we had the green light, so hopefully, if she has insurance this will go smoothly.

RE: Cane went Down
I'm banged up on my entire right side, nothing broken.
It costs money because they are closed on the weekends and would have to send someone to the yard, towing companies are the equivalent of mobile mafia to me. I am going to go there later this week when they are open and get some pics.

Crappy luck. Sorry to hear you got whacked.
You say your right side hit, but that fairing piece on ebay is a left side.
Plastic welding and some paint can fix quite a lot in the way of damage to the fairings. The oil issue doesn't sound great but it might not be much to fix, either.
Good luck with her and I hope you have no lasting injuries.

Thanks for the replies.
The left side fairing was for when the previous owner dropped it.
From what I saw I don't think it would be repairable from the insurance companies point of view, the cheapest shops around here cost eight dollars an hour or more, I don't know to what damage the fairing has endured, but I do know that some pieces came flying off, someone came running up to me and said here, this came off. I think it was the piece from around the gauges.
