Brake Pads Sintered or not

Brake Pads Sintered or not
Looking to gain some tips on pad replacement .I'm totally happy doing the work, no lessons needed ,but was wondering about type of pad. I do tend to ride fast braking hard and late very often .I use my old girl for pleasure only I don't commute daily or similar.
Yeah before you chastise me about hard late braking ,that's just how it is I'm unlikely to change that .
So Sintered type pads or no ? I'm not really up on braking technology n whats now available ,I'd much preferr to be replacing pads rather than discs (I hear sintered eat discs) ,Urban Myth maybe?
Any stories of epic failures n what to avoid or high praise n recommendation appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I use sintered. They are a little noisier, but great bite, especially when cold or wet. I can't really comment on the rotor wear, as I don't have much experience with organic (only in my old car, never on the bike).
I think if you consistantly hard braking, sintered is the way to go. MAYBE you will have to replace your rotors sooner than later, but its a safety device, so skip a night at the bar once a year and replace the rotors if you need them...
Just my $0.02

Discs last for a long time, you might need to replace them a bit sooner, but I would imagine it would be at say 35,000 miles instead of 40,000. The cost spread over 3 or 4 years doesn't add up to much especially if you work it out per month.
If you feel you need the extra braking power, go for it, it's your skin.

Bloody good advice JK and I must do it......
Cheers, SB
PS: Ask Mrs SB about my vehicle preparations for any bike/car trip. It redefines ****. Then ask her how many breakdowns we've had
Sorted.
