Default Backrest (sissybar?) for a 'Cane ??

Hi guys, all my previous bikes have had a topbox which provide a great backrest for " Her Indoors " I dont want to put a 'box on the 1000F-V and the Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat are only made for 'Cane models up to 1994 I am told. So - has anyone put a Gun & Lady on a 1997 model ? Is there a bolt-on backrest available - if not has anyone get a sketch for a frame that I could bolt a pad to ?? Ride lots and ride safe Guy n Gals regards dp

If the gunfighter and lady fits a 94 it will fit a 97. They may not say it on their site because there was no 97 US model, and Corbin is a US company.

I've seen a home-brewed bracket on the rear of the seat with a small back-rest/pad.

Basically, they bent a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate (90 degrees), shaped it and
mounted it to the under-side of the saddle-pan. Then added a small upholstered
pad to the vertical part.

The one I saw, he bought an extra, used saddle and just swapped them at will.

It wouldn't take much to do a low-profile/clean-looking version of your own.

Hey:

90-00 all the same for seats. I have used the same Corbin seat on a 91. 94 and 99 models.

But don't forget the seatbelt, if you go with Sprock's version...

Default Get it Spent !!

I have decided to splash some cash and get a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady with backrest. My initial reaction when the quote came, around £620, was " yipes - that was around half of what I paid for the whole bike - is this a logical amount to spend !! ?? I then thought that this £620 would give us a fantatic tourer for less than two grand - always try to think positive !!
Ride Lots and Ride Safe - cheers dp
PS bit gutted about Lance _ read " its not about the bike " a few times - quite inspirational I thought - shame ( think I've just highjacked my own thread _ quite a first !!)
