RE: around the track
My brother ran his 91 CBR 1000 at the track and it handled OK. He ran Metzler M1's although you likley can't get them for your bike.
Try the Dunlop GT 501's or the Pirelli Dragon (not sure of the Pirelli's actual name) but my dad ran the P's on his OLD school bike and they stick pretty good too. Both of those are Bias, which I assume you need.

It gets the blood going when you ride these heavy bikes at flat noise. The tyres don't look to good front and rear are riped off on both sides and the disks areblack. I didseven 20min runs through the daya totaldistance of 183k on the trip meter 30liters of fuel with a top speed 191k by GPS . All i can say is i cant weight to do it again. Every one should do a track day to find yours and the bikes capability's
