Default 94CBR1000F clutch lever travel

Hi everyone....I have just bought a 94 CBR1000f and was wondering if someone can tell me how much travel the clutch lever should have....mine goes out a fair bit before it bites but doesnt slip at all, and I only need to pull it in a few millimeters and it slips....as it appears to be a hydrolic clutch (no cable adjustment) is this a sign of the clutch almost worn out or is that perfectly normal....is there any adjustments that can be made
Any help will be really apprieciated.....
Cheers

Thanks for the prompt reply mate....yeah the lever does feel a little stiff compared to my dirtbike 08 KLX250 the frustrating thing is my gear changes up are somewhat jerky (changing down is ok because I can put a little blip on the throttle to smooth it out.....so instantly want to blame the bike LOL

Wink

Hey Tony,
Mine also engages at very near the end of extension. No problems though. I have a 93 1000f w/ 11,000 miles. I'm not worrying about it.

Yeah Shadow......I just bought the bike yesterday but I will change the fluid as there may even be a connection here with my other posted problem of the engine rattle between 2000-2500rpm

Mine bites near the end of release, replaced the fluid today, (on my '94) it looked quite dark through the sight glass, heaven knows how long it has been since it was last changed, as I've only had the bike a short while, it seems better for it, I plan to do a couple of hundred miles tomorrow 2-up, (weather permitting) so we shall see......
