Default 87 cbr1000 head gasket

hey everone i jus bought this bike for 50bucks at a auction lookin to put it on a go-kart so not lookin to spend too much money....but i pulled the head to find out it has a cracked intake valve already have one ordered...but my question a head gasket costs 100bucks so i was wondering can i just use rtv instead of a headgasket? or use something like it dont wanna drop 100bucks into it cause i still dont know if it runs...clutch siezed up and carbs need cleaning....any help would be great thank you

yea that still a lil too much jus to find out if it runs....ive heard of guys completly removing the metal gasket and it helps with compression....can u use a cork gasket im looking for anything that i can use instead of droppin alot of money into it.

I have heard of yobbo's/rednecks who have used a couple of layers of corn flake packet cardboard with very limited success, hey but it's cheap! Where are u located, I have an old one you can have that was ok, only got remved because of rebuild, might get u out of trouble enough to see if it runs.

yea i seen that **** funny, i know a couple of girls from austraila, but theiy phillipino also, they cool as hell,, shippin would be rediciouls from there...hahahaha

ok....i got the new/used valves in imma replace the old ones then i might use the old head gasket with a spray copper and see if it runs, if runs then prob replace with a new head gasket

Sounds like a good plan, hope it works out, insane power for a go-cart, sounds like fun!

man people been putting hybusa motors on little karts...looks crazy i will take pics of the project tho
