87-88 new stainless exhaust system from Sandy UK
Hey:
Just some info for the owners of 87-88 CBR1000F bikes looking for other exhaust options that keeps your center stand. A complete stainless system can be purchased from Sandy Bike Spares in the UK that lets you use the covers and fits like stock so I am told. If anybody does go this route lets us know how it fits and post up some installed pics please.
CBR1000F CBR1000 CBR 1000 F 1987-1988 SC21 EXHAUST COLLECTOR DOWNPIPES | eBay
They also offered a combined price discount and a good 6 parts gasket set at a fair price, and the same system for the newer bikes if interested.

Seen good comments about these systems from Sandy's Spares off the Suzuki GSX1400 forums, fast delivery, good quality product and obviously good price.

Hey:
I deleted the silencers out of my 1st post as that was for a reference of what they look like as they have them as part of the complete exhaust system for 87-88 bikes for an additional 229.99 UK Pounds, per the down pipes auction to avoid confusion. You can also get Delkevics and have adapters made. I guess another email is in order to them to confirm this with them and I'll post the answer on here.

They do both silencers and pipes for 87/88 machines, it's just that they are not always on fleabay, if you are interested just give them a bell.

Searched around and haven't found anything on modding these to keep the shields

I went through their ebay store. They do in fact have the downpipes and silencers for the 87/88. The silencer listing states you can't use the heatshields. So they're similar to the Delkevics in that respect.

The Old Ontario Moto Tech duals, (I think or maybe it was Yoshs) and a few others had a little kit that came with them that had 2 hose clamps and 4 alloy angle brackets that clamped around the aftermarker silencers to hold the covers inplace. They went out of fashion when the aftermarket started going to the oval cans and 4 into 1s so the covers would no longer fit anyway The last time I can recall seeing them was 1987-90 time frame when they were in as sport bikes then (when I first got one of the bikes I still have). They would be easy to replicate them if you have stock pipes now.

I went with ViperRaceCans with Sandy's custom link pipes
Bought the Viper Cans here in the US for like 100 ea
The farking pipes came by way of a favour from someone who
owed me some dosh on the other side of the gold fish bowl.
But cost them plenty let me tell you !
Sandy's to me are pretty much a likeness to Nexxus or Motads
although they vehemently defend their custom manufacturing
when I challenged them about it .....lol....total BS .....imo ..duh !

Hey:
Sprock, their stall in the plant says Sandys the one next to it Motad and then Nexxus would be my guess. Too much alike but that way they can claim total manufacturing independance. All good pipe makers just a bit pricey on some things, but then some parts are very fair for the quality.
Awaiting the reply back as I type probably take a few days.
