Default 6th gear light

On my old Suzuki GSX1100, there were gear indicators, with numbers in the speedo console.
I'd love to have a 6th gear warning light on the CBR , because I keep trying to find 7th gear.........[8D], yes I KNOW you can tell by the revs, and the speedo, but there are times I don't want to be looking down.......and a simple light would make it easier....
Has anyone ever fitted one to an early Hurricane (1989/90) ? The Suzuki had a set of electrical input points in the gearbox, and the relevant gear number would light up.....
Any advice would be welcome........

It looks like this might work for you. This post in a different forum is discussing a mechanical gear indicator. It is a pretty good discussion with pics.

Many thanks, Roundabout, and welcome to the Forum !
This is a first - normally new people are asking us questions, not supplying the answers !!
I've sent LEDgear an e-mail - let's see what he comes up with.
Thanks again.

Sorry, don't understand the significance of FJR1300A, TBT,apart from it being a fairly good Yamaha with a 5 speed box. Your levity is lost on me this time.
