Default ? 4 shadow

ive read in several threads that you run ngk DPR9EA9 for spark plugs, my '95 calls for 8's not 9's. are 9's just your preferance or is that what your bike calls for?

FYI my 1990 Honda User Manual lists DPR9EA-9.

FYI web site NGK as follows...

HONDA 1000cc CBR1000F/FL/FM/FN/FP/FR/FR/FT/FV/FX 1990-99

Recommended Plug
DPR9EA-9
0.9

Iridium Option
DPR9EIX-9
0.9

95 calls for 9's, not 8's. This according to Haynes and the Ron Ayres pasts fiche. Haynes says 8's for 96 on- why I don't know.

The 8's are a hotter plug, so probably something to do with polution.

I've run both and never noticed a difference.
