I've been debating this mod since I got my CBR and only found 2Bros that had a 4-2-1 system for my bike. Only the price has been the deterrant for me... so much money, but I can only imagine how good it would sound! Go for it if you can!

There are certainly not many used or new full systems around to this bike. I've ordered a Laser Pro d'Or 4-2-1 system by a German company. It costed less than half the retail price in Sweden, but was still about 600 USD.

Hi:
Just to let you know I have had a couple of these bikes and I have had a Vance&Hines SSR2, a OMT full race, micron slipon with stock system
and a Yoshimura pipe on the 4 CBR 1000Fs I have owned (88,91,95,&99) and only liked the V&H and micron as good as the stock system, as I
ride my bike as my main transport att, about a 1,000 miles a week. The Yosh and the OMT pipes got rid of the centerstands and were pretty loud
and I feel the only real perf advantage I got was all the weight I got rid of. The microns are ok but the plug was a pain to get out, when I went to
put it back to stock for a long trip I was going on.
I really feel the V&H 4/1 SSR2 gave the best all around performance as well as a good sound but only really was slightly loud at full throttle.
I like my centerstand and the V&H works with or with out it and is still available from vance & hines new and would be my only choice for a 4/1
pipe. I like the slip on micron but the plug is hard to take in and out when I want to put the stock pipes back on and I kept the V&h pipe for later
use.

If you look on ebay you can find one(V&H SSR2) they go for about $100-250 USD used and then I would send it off to get a jet hot ceramic coating
($150.USD) and it would probally make you very happy for many years to come, and they are rebuildable with parts thru V&H or
www.Dennis kirk.com. A new OMT just sold on Ebay for $50.00 USD this week but had no baffle end.

I hope you enjoy the bike with the pipe you buy and get many years of fun riding on it, good luck.

BTW the jets ended up being 132s but thats with all the work thats been done. My stage1 was 124 mains (yosh pipe, K&N filter and jet kit) and
works well with stock pipes and K&N too.

I have a REMUS 4-2-1 system fitted to my 1990 fl,
stainless headers, link pipe and an alloy race can.
I`ts loud when your giving it some beans, but not offensive, and gives good power and torque gains without rejetting.
They come in two options,54mm link pipe for race look and sound,or 76mm pre baffled link pipe which is the one i have.
And a multitude of can styles.
I`ts beutifully made too!But not cheap!
500+ UK pounds.
I`ll try to find a link with price, pics etc and post later.

I would be interested in hearing your opinions on the Laser exhaust. I found them a few weeks ago and cant find anyone who's got one.

I'll report my findings as soon as the system has been tested. There is a delivery time of about 2 weeks until I get it, the Laser full systems for this bike are only built on orders.

i had a V&H 4-1 on mine when i bought it. for me it was WAY too loud. down right annoying for anyone riding behind me. i got a little creative and bought a two-bros. C-4 slip-on. i cut the old V&H can off and coupled the two-bros can and small piece of pipe it came with to the V&H system. works pretty good. cant really notice the hybrid system i have unless you really look. sounds good too! the only problem i have is that the V&H pipe it starting to rust thru in some spots. gotta get a new system at some point. just my 2 cents.
