Default 2000 CBR 929RR vs 94 CBR1000F

Missin my 1000f. Got rearended end of july, bike totalled. still rideable but not the same to me. Bought in back. Sold it and bought what I thought was a nice bike..clean.. but previous owner cut the rear license bracket, couldn't put turn signals on, installed fender eliminater to cover up the mess, integrated tail lamp only to find he seriously jacked up the wiring. took me 3 days to figure it out. This bike runs like a raped ape.. very fast, alot of torque. Not what I am used to. My son likes to ride.. but not on this one. I feel its too much for me. So I posted it online CL SF. with extras. Looking at a hayabusa or a zx14...something more comfortable but yet not a cruiser.. anyone got any advise on either ? would like input here.. email me at oneclassic_70@yahoo.com thx

The Hayabusa and ZX14 are both even faster than the 929 !!
I would consider the ZZR1200 Kawasaki, or the FJR1300 Yamaha as alternatives. The Suzuki RF900 is also a good bike - 5 speed box though.
The power is there but controllable.
Don't even bother with the Honda 1300 - it's an underpowered lump.
Depends on how much "green" you have - the BMW 1200RS is similar to the 1000F in many respects...........

I went from a 1991 1000F to a 1997 Carb Blackbird.

Added VFR800vtec bars and an MRA vario touring screen to it and i now find it as nice as the 1000F to ride over short or long distances.

The 1000F is a very hard overall package to beat - it offers a lot of bike for the money and it does everything competently.
