Default 1993 Front wheel Questions

Hi guys.

Ok I figured a new thread might be best. I have a dilema. Had the wheels and rotors painted. When installing the front rotors, if you follow the shop manual, it doesn't seem to add up.
I'm hoping somebody that hasn't removed the rotors from the wheel can take a look and see how it comes from the factory.

Check out the pics I've attached.

Per the manual, LH rotor should be on the side with the higher hub. But the direction of rotation arrow is on that side. Means that the wheel would be going backwards.

I'm hoping for some clear pictures from you guys which will tell me that the manual is wrong, and to go with my gut.

Shadow, Noe, Hardcore thank you thank you for your quick responce. I wrote this because it seemed that I wasnt passing the info on correctly.

Thanks again. This is the best forum out there

The hub extends outside the rotor on the right side of the bike. I know that much.

If you look at the 3rd picture, the hub actually does extend outside the disc on the right side.

In the 4th pic, it does the same, you just can't see it behind the wheel.

Does this help at all? No comments on how "clean" my bike is, please. Pics taken from front of my 95, obviously.

Pacojoseph many thanx for the pictures.
My only question is have you ever removed the rotors from the wheel to clean/paint/anything? Are they like that from the factory?

If so, I've got my answer as usual from this fantastic forum. The book is wrong then.

Also A BIG THANKS to everybody who tried to help. Couldn't do it without you.

1000, thats the problem.

The right side of the picture(actually a drawing) shows the hub extending past the rotor, but the rotor is labeled (LH) actually[ L ]. Thus my confusion.

Thanks to pacojoes help, this should clear up any confusion.

Thanks for looking and responding 1000.

By the way, Art, just one small observation - I had a bike with really bad shudder on the front brakes when I bought it.........turns out the last owner had painted the wheels and rotors, and the paint wasn't even, causing a severe shudder on the front end. when bolted together.......
You may wish to remove the paint fron the contact surfaces between the wheels and the rotors to avoid this potential problem.......
my 2 cents worth.....

Wow shadow just from paint? I wonder if he something else going on.

Well, afterI had the wheels and rotors painted separately, I put them together, and then took them to the shop for fresh rubber. There, they mounted and balanced them all together, and when i picked them up, they said that they were good only a 1 or 2 grams for weight. So im hoping. I did this with my other set of wheels and didn't seem to have any problems, so i got my fingers crossed.

Thanks
