I can't comment on the price as I'm not sure of the market over there but it looks pretty mint. It always amazes me when a 20 year old bike comes up with hardly any miles. What's wrong with these people?? Even just a weekend rider would clock up more than that. You'd have to see it 'in the flesh' and take a compression tester just to be sure. Maybe Sprock will buy it for his collection.

That is a very nice machine. Whoever buys that will be stoked. Can't believe he never road it home when he bought it ?? What a great trip that would have been on this classic machine. If I lived in the USA I'd find the money fast and get to Atlanta and ride it home with the biggest grin on my face ever.......

Now that is a steal of a deal. I just bought a '90 1000f for my wife w/ 22k miles in really good shape for $2300 and that deal is even better than mine with those low miles. I wonder where a bike like that has been sitting without anyone riding it. I want to ride it as soon as I see it.

Been watching those and the top priced one has been getting "pumped" in my
honest opinion ........... you might see it getting run through ebay again and
if so then .......... that's exactly what's going on ! ..... entertaining to watch
all the same

Yeah, I think he wants a bit much for it.

It has too many miles and small flaws for the museum..... and too much money for a rider.
Considering you can get a 10k-20k mile 1000F for like $2k, I don't see the point in it. Heck, my buddy bought the same bike with 19k miles for $1,900 and it was in great shape.

That is one Showroom Condition Ride!

BUT, he's not going to get $4,800.00 for it.
There is not an unually high demand for the 1990 as a Collector's (or is there)?

Suggested Retail Value $2240 The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the unit's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $1500 Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in unit assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than you would receive from a private party sale because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business. Trade-in values are based on clean units in good condition, with all original standard equipment. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above.
