Default Alternative Oil Filter Brands

Guys,
For your info the Ryco Z411 oil filter will fit the 1000F. They are around $12 here in Oz. I got even luckier today and found the Valvoline equivalent oil filter to the Ryco thats 10mm shorter ( same thread size and diameter ) than the Ryco for only $4. I got the last three on the shelf. Its certainly better than paying for genuine ones when these will do the same job for a lot less. I must credit Bluebeard for putting me onto the Ryco info. I'm not sure what the equivalent parts and numbers are in other countries but for Oz this info is the real deal. Cheers.

I go with a NAPA (WIX) upsized filter here in the US Bordo runs about 8 bucks US
The can is way longer but has the same valve psi rating on the inside, make sure
ya check the exact spec's, just because it fits don't always mean it's right for the motor.

I run the purolator filters.... usually the longer ones. They run between $4-7 depending on regular or pure one.

For the purolators, I've always used the following (available at advance auto)

2.5" - Purolator Pure One PL14612 (yellow one) OR Purolator Regular L14612
3.25" - Purolator Pure One PL14610 (yellow one) OR Purolator Regular L14610

Nice write up as usual Naga.
I used to go with the larger filters but went back to the Fram 6017A Motorsports filter because I'm an oil change fanatic and they're readily available at "the store that sells walls"

I've found another oil filter that suits our bikes. I found them on Fleabay and decided to try a couple out. 12 dollars each delivered to the door. Seeing we pay anywhere up to 30 dollars a filter here they are a good deal. This one cross references fine with the 15410-MFJ-D01 which is the Honda part for our bikes.
