OEM is obviously factory original plastics, Honda fairings come painted, decals, pre drilled, ready to bolt straight on.
Street plastics usually come unpainted and in most cases undrilled. You're gonna have to paint it, probally drill it, and buy OEM decals if you're after a stock look.
Race bodywork is always unpainted, not drilled, and no cut outs for headlamp, etc. but is usually a lot cheaper and lighter.
Sooo... OEM, ready painted, drilled, all decals, just bolt on.
Street, cheaper but unpainted and fit can be dubious.
Race, cheap, light, unpainted, no cut outs, expendable!
If you're after a custom paint job, street plastics are cheaper than OEM, 'coz you're not paying for the paint and decals.
Hotbodies now offer for '07 CBR600 and CBR1000 white or smoke plastic! If you want to retain the stock look, it's ALWAYS going to be cheaper to buy OEM than buy street and have to paint and decal it yourself. Got a track bike? Go for the race, 'coz you're gonna skin it up occaisionally and it's cheapest.Hope this helps.

RE: what's the difference between OEM, Street and Race fairings???
There is another difference between OEM plastics and most after market plastics like shark skins.
OEM plastics are made out of ABS plastic, not normal fiber glass.
Most of the aftermarket fairing companies will state that their fiber glass won't spider web or crack. You won't run into this problem with OEM plastics unless you bend the hell out of it. This is why OEM plastics cost sinificantly more the the others. If you buy plastics off of ebay that are claimed to be OEM you can verify by checking on the inside. It will have HONDA ABS molded into the plastic.
