UFO LED Integrated taillights Problems!!!!!!
ok so i just bought that ufo led tailight, http://www.motodiablo.net/homepage.html well i installed it and it works and looks great, but now my front blinker dont blink, the just come on when the signal is used, (flush mounts, not running light), Can any1 help me??
Is this both front signals or just one side? I'd double check every connection. Doesn't make sense that the rear signals would work but the front ones stopped unless you blew a filament in the front bulb.
no the front blinkers come on when u use the turn signal, they just dont blink. the harley guy next store to me said to put a resistor on the connection on the back and it would make it work, but he didnt know which 1 to get
O.K. I think I know why it aint working -- on my bike the integrated LED blinks in back make the fronts blink faster (it's a feature to let you know a bulb is blown). I guess on yours it just has the light stay on without blinking. If the back ones are blinking then the relay is good.
The resister he's talking about is a 20W 5Ohm resister -- it's got a ceramic shell approx 1/2" X 1/2" X 2". You'll need two. They will go in the back and connect from the ground to the hot (in parallel) to the blinker wires going to the tail light.

Here ya go -- please no comments about a drunk monkey with a crayon.

ok i feel like im being a pain in the butt, but i have a control harness that goes into a control box. Then my power harness pugs into that then my bike, my question is do i connect to the grond on the power harness, or the control harness
Ahhh, I forgot about that. Ya, my drawing is a little off because you have a programmable thingy inbetween. O.K. find the rear turn signal wires before they get connected in any way to the box or harness. Place the resistors there from the ground to each of the signal wires -- they should all be in the same bundle (1 resistor on each or you'll get bleed through current). That will hopefully show the relay that you have a load on the back blinks but won't kill your current to the rear.
