Hey all - just got my first Fireblade and while I love the bike overall, it may be the most uncomfortable bike I've ever ridden. I've had F4i's, R6's, and SV1000's and have also ridden R1s, Gixxers and Busas. I wonder if the Sato rear set the previous owner installed is the issue. From what I can tell, the lowest position it will go is 10mm up and back as compared to stock rear sets.
Does anyone have any experience with Sato for Fireblades? Would anyone happen to know the height of the stock peg from the ground with the bike standing up so I could compare to these Sato sets? Thanks for any help you can give me - I love the bike but I need to fix this or long trips are out for me and that would be a shame =(
Hi Carlos, I know this was posted a long time ago, wondering what you decided to do. I ask because I just bought a 2001 CBR 929 with SATO rearsets similar to the ones in your pictures.
So, if you remember, let me know please.
please.

Hi! 929 is a great bike so congrats. I unfortunately ended up trading this Fireblade in on a new GSX-S 1000 which is a naked gixxer. I could never find a solution to the Sato rear sets and figured rather than try to find some kind of hackish solution I’d let someone else enjoy the bike for what it was meant. I hope you find a solution that works for you!
Thanks for your response Carlos, I am glad that you found a solution that works for you. This is my second 929, I was an idiot and sold my first one, that bike had the original footpegs and I thought they were great.
I am not sure about the SATOS's on my current bike, I am still going over the bike carefully and will find out as soon as the summer is over, I think I can always get a set of standard honda 929 footpegs and mounts easily enough if I am unhappy.
Hope you are enjoying your current bike (bikes) I certainly do mine!
Cheers!
