Default running lights

whats up everyon?

2005 1000RR, trying to see if anyone knows how to hook up the lockheart flushmounts so that i can have them as running lights when not using the flashing feature. thanks for any advice. be safe and be smart!!!

Try using a diode. There are numerous posts about this, just do a search and you should be able to find out how to do it. I read on it a while back but don't remember now.

I went with the LP Short Stalks to keep runnning lights and end the diode debacle....here is a looksie...

I did the same as CBRFREAK (same lights it looks like). With the 3-wire lights, you get the regular "mild intensity" running lights continuously, but the blink filaments give you a "high intensity" flash. For example, it you wire them backwards with the blink lights going continuous, they will start to melt the light housing (believe me I know). Jury rigging a 2-wire system wont give the brighter flash for blink just a soft blinking action.

I did the same thing...conventional ground idnt not apply here so i wired em up wrong the first time and metlted my plate lamp housing and blew a fuse..so if you use the LP Shorties...read the package closely...LOL...after they are wired in correctly they work WUNDERBAR....
