Default Reccomend me some heated grips

I have come to realize that winter riding gloves just plain suck, they are too big and cannot keep me warm enough down to 15-20 degrees. I need something better. Heated grips anyone? I like the idea of the oxford heated grips which slide over the oem grips and can be easily removed.

Are heated grips a good idea? Will the back of my hands be freezing and the front too hot? I want to ride with my gloves which keep my comfy from 40-50 degrees with the grips. Also, how tough is the install? Just wire one to the battery and one to an ignition wire?

Is my 03 F4i's stator powerful enough to run something with a draw of about 1-1.3 amps?

Thanks guys!

Trackside heated grips..... Cycle Gear, $30

Trust me heated grips are a freakin lifesaver!! I have the above ones on my F4i and on my roomates F4i, and they both work like a champ. They only draw 3 amps (36w), and the charging system can handle it no prob, just make sure your battery is in good shape

Install isn't bad at all.... just gotta ground one terminal from each grip, and run the other from each to the power wire. It comes with a switch, you can wire it right to the battery or USE A RELAY to wire it to a switched power source (do NOT wire it directly to a switched source). Gotta buy the grip glue seperately as it does not come with them, then just work the grips off and clean the bars real good, run a couple layers of 3M electrical tape over the left bar, apply glue and heating elements, let dry for a few minutes, then apply more glue and re-install grips. Pretty easy, then just route the wires so they're not in the way, get everything wired up and you're all set!

Enjoy... you'll love 'em!
