HID questions
Ok didnt want to hijack another thread asking these dumb questions so i made a new one. Alright I have a 07 cbr 600rr. I want both lights to be on at the same time. Not one off till i flip high beam. What do I need to get in order to do this? Also what will happen to my high beam? Will i not have one anymore? Is that what bi-xenon is for? Thanks in advance. I'm looking to do 10000k hids. Recommended kits would be appreciated.

RE: HID questions
Bi-xenon is not a "dual filament" bulb in the same way that halogen does it. This is because it is bad for the HID to turn it on and off. Instead bi-xenon utilizes a solenoid to move a plate which produces or removes the cutoff. I just finished this mod on my F4 (https://cbrforum.com/m_503775/mpage_.../tm.htm#504930). You can do the same thing on your bike, but with two projectors.
I do not recommend getting a plug-n-play kit. You can see what I mean from the first picture. Your beam pattern will not look good, and it will shine in the eyes of people. If you do this mod, it will give you both lights low beam and both lights high beam.

RE: HID questions
The beauty of having a sharp cutoff is that you can aim the beam so that the line is just barely lower than the heads of people in front of you.
The lens on the e46 projector (and I think most projectors) has a fine line etched into it. The purpose of the line is to refract a small amount of light toward signs.
With that said, if you are scraping the pegs taking a hairpin at night, then you may not feel the most comfortable, but then again, if you are doing that you are a squid. I've not had that issue on turns that I take (say at 40 degrees from top)
Also, if it makes any difference, with the high beam there is no cutoff, so this is never a problem.
I'll try to get you a pic with the bike leaned, to see if that helps you.
